JOHN DILLON - Rhythm Guitar, Vocals, and Band Manager
John started figuring out his favorite tunes on the piano at the age of 5, and has a natural talent for music. He taught himself to play the piano by ear at a young age and just recently taught himself to play the guitar! He has always enjoyed singing and loves music of all genres. John brings the acoustic rhythm guitar, some lead vocals, and all harmony vocals to the band. He also manages the details for the band's show schedule, contracts, and the marketing and social media efforts.
John is an Arizona native and was born in Flagstaff. He has been in the travel and tourism industry for over twenty years and passionate about the Grand Canyon and Northern Arizona. He works with the Grand Canyon commercial white-water rafting industry which he absolutely loves. He also enjoys all things related to Japan and is fluent in the Japanese language. John is also passionate about aviation and has been flying for over 17 years. He really loves spending any free time in the sky in his airplane. He also enjoys rafting, golf, skiing, fishing, photography, and spending time at Grand Canyon and Lake Powell. John is married with 5 children children. And he has never flown stunt kites!
BIG CHAD C - Lead Guitar & Vocals, and Band Leader
Chad began his musical training at 12 years old when he dug an old acoustic guitar out of his mother's closet. He asked his mom to pick him up a set of strings and a Mel Bay Guitar Made Easy book. He read the book cover to cover and learned how to string it, tune it, and make his first chords with no lessons. He formed his first band at the age of 15, playing the bass for the band called "The Innocent Bystanders", and became quite popular around the Charleston, SC music scene. They recorded their first album when Chad was just 16 years old. He left the band at the age of 19 to serve a volunteer mission for his church.
At the age of 24, while living in Lexington, KY, he met a talented singer/songwriter named Ron Bell. They formed a group called The Trailerpark Troubadours. Enlisting the help of Nashville producer and drummer, Richie Albright, long time drummer for Waylon Jennings, they entered the independent music scene as a signed artist, touring, and recording 7 albums together. He got off the road with the Trailer Park Troubadours and took a five year break to write and re-tool. He formed BUCKIT in 2007. Chad handles the lead guitar and lead vocal duties, can play any instrument in the band, and has written nearly all of the original BUCKIT tunes.
Chad lives in Flagstaff, AZ with his wife and family. He enjoys his Harley Davidson, all sports, and spending time at Lake Powell.
BUCKIT was formed in 2007 in the high-country of Northern Arizona. Consisting of a lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass guitar, drum kit and some tight vocals - we'd like to share our "groove rock" with you!
JIM CHRISTENSEN - Bass Guitarist, Harmonica & Vocals
Jim has been playing music and singing for as long as he can remember. Born in Conrad Montana, his earliest musical influences were classical music (mom's influence) and Johnny Cash (dad's influence). At age 11 his family relocated to Eugene, Oregon where he picked up a rented Fender P-Bass and never looked back. He started playing professionally at age 19 and has toured in the U.S. and Europe sharing the stage with some of the Rock and Heavy Metals finest bands. In 2004 he moved to Grand Canyon and currently resides in Tusayan, AZ. In 2011 he was invited to "jam" with Chad and John. It wasn't long before he was asked to join the band in 2012. Jim is a talented songwriter / lyricist. His driving bass style has added a new dimension to BUCKIT's "groove rock" sound. When not slappin' the bass with BUCKIT, Jim's hobbies includes golf, camping & rock hounding, ATV riding in the back country, refinishing old wooden furniture, bowling, photography, fishing, and flying stunt kites.
BOB BLASI - Drummer, Vocals, Guitar, and Philosopher
Say the name Bob Blasi in the Arizona music scene and heads turn! Bob has been playing music for as long as he can remember, and he's shared the stage and provided the percussions for some of the greatest! Inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame in 1999, Bob has the respect from everyone who has ever had the pleasure of sharing the stage or seeing him play! A master on the drum kit is just the beginning. Bob also has pipes and can take you back to the good ol' days with some of his favorites like James Brown, Wilson Picket, Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, Otis Redding, Joe Cocker and many more. He also has guitar skills and is an avid collector. During his day job, Bob is a former wildland fire fighter and now serves as the Public Relations Officer for the United States Forest Service for the Kaibab National Forest based in Williams, AZ.
